Sentosa Island

Sentosa Island has been diligently developed for tourists, with investment of millions of dollars. Today it is a popular island resort in Singapore, visited by a large number of international tourists every here. The island has such a long list of attractions that just surprise one. Many of these are the only one of their own kind in Asia.



Underwater World
Dolphin Lagoon is the most known of the Underwater World in Sentosa Island. At Dolphin Lagoon, you would get to meet the Indo-Pacific Humpback dolphin. Underwater World is a large aquarium with a tunnel. It gives you a feel as if you are walking through the aquarium. The aquarium has 2,500 fish from 250 different species. And then there are creatures like crabs, turtles etc.

Musical Fountain

Travel to Musical Fountain astonishes the tourists with its laser, light and sound extravaganza.The 30 minutes multi-media musical here takes one to a mysterious journey of Sentosa. One would enjoy special effects like fiery flames and water jets and meet creatures such as beautiful Princess Pearl, hyperactive monkey Kiki, and dancing Octopus. And experience astonishing special effects like fiery flames and water jets. There are three free shows a day at the Musical Fountain.

4D Magix
4D Magix is a high tech entertainment centre in Sentosa Island. Developed with the huge investment of S$3.5million, 4D Magix offers stunning magic. The theatre has wonderful spectrum of visual, sound, motion and environmental effects. 4D Magix makes you feel as if you are in a movie.

Fort Siloso
The British built this coastal fort in the 1880's to protect the harbour of Singapore. While touring Fort Siloso, you can look over the cannons and also go to the museum.

Sijori Wondergolf
This 45 holes miniature golf course is set to entertain you in Singapore. You can play in three different courses. Golfing here is fairly easy and relaxing. Themes and strange obstacles like most mini golf courses are absent here. Golfers visiting the Sentosa Island seldom fail to visit the Sijori Wondergolf.

Ride Attractions
Sentosa Island has several ride attractions which are very popular among the children. There are luge, skylift, and trapeze rides which give the children feeling of a circus.

Nature Walks
Nature walks in Sentosa Island are quite relaxing. We would suggest an amble at herb and spice garden where about 250 species used in cooking and as traditional medicine are grown.

Lost Civilization
Lost Civilisation has been modeled after archeological sites. It gives the visitors the feel of the pre-colonial past.

Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom
More than 15,000 delicate butterflies, from fifty plus species reside in the butterfly park. Ambling here with these colorful butterflies flitting around is an enjoyable experience. In the Insect Kingdom 3,000 species of rare insects from over the world have been kept.

Images of Singapore
This state-of-the-art museum is the combination of latest technology, rare artifacts and life-size figures which introduce the visitors to the past of Singapore. Legend, facts and folklore have been creatively interwoven in the museum.

Merlion
Merlion, the symbol of Singapore, is a tall figure of 37 meters. It offers fantastic vantage point of Sentosa and Singapore City.

Carlsberg Sky Tower
This is the tallest observatory tower (131 meters) in Asia, offering sweeping views of Sentosa, Singapore and Southern islands. An air-conditioned cabin with 72 persons capacity, gently revolves to the height.

Beaches
Sentosa Island has some nice beaches too. Palawan Beach is known for its bars, Siloso Beach is popular among volleyball enthusiasts while Tanjong Beach is good for relaxing.
