Fraser’s Hill, just 103km off Kuala Lumpur, could provide immediate respite from tropical heat of Malaysia. This area of seven hills, originally named Ulu Tras, is the backbone of peninsular Malaysia, running from the Thai border all the way down south. The hill resort was named after an English adventurer, Louis James Fraser, who built himself a shack in the hill in the 19th century. Fraser’s Hill rises 1,500 meters above sea-level on the Titiwangsa mountain range.
