Fraser’s Hill

Fraser’s Hill, just 103km off Kuala Lumpur, could provide immediate respite from tropical heat of Malaysia. This area of seven hills, originally named Ulu Tras, is the backbone of peninsular Malaysia, running from the Thai border all the way down south. The hill resort was named after an English adventurer, Louis James Fraser, who built himself a shack in the hill in the 19th century. Fraser’s Hill rises 1,500 meters above sea-level on the Titiwangsa mountain range.

Bird watching is a popular pastime here. Fraser's Hill is the venue of the annual Bird Race which draws many foreign omithologists. It is appreciated for its greenery, forest walks, fresh air and exotic flower gardens by local and foreign tourists. Hiking is also popular with eight signposted trails around Fraser's Hill. Golfing
Golfers never leave Fraser’s Hill without having few games of golf. Two famous golf courses are Fraser's Hill Golf and Country Club (18 holes) and Royal Fraser's Hill Golf Club (9 holes).
